Decide what the viewer needs to see. Use a single window for a focused walkthrough or a region for a specific part of an app. Use full-screen capture when switching between applications is part of the explanation. Keep unrelated desktop content outside the frame.

Check your inputs

Choose the microphone you intend to use and make a short test. If you include a camera, position it so it does not cover controls or labels. Record application audio only when it helps explain the workflow. Listen to the test before continuing.

Capture one complete task
